We're incredibly excited to announce a special two-part workshop series designed specifically for yoga teachers, led by the internationally renowned yoga and movement specialist, Adarsh Williams! Based in the Netherlands, Adarsh has graciously accepted our invitation to visit Karuna Yoga in Pleasanton for these exclusive sessions.
Adarsh, an E-RYT 500, CE Provider, Ashtanga Yoga teacher (KPJAYI -2), and Movement Specialist (TRS-2), brings over two decades of global experience and a rich lineage of training to these immersive workshops. A direct student of Pattabhi Jois and authorized in Ashtanga Yoga, he seamlessly blends traditional wisdom with modern movement science.
Who Are These Workshops For?
These workshops are designed specifically for yoga teachers who hold a 200-hour RYT certification or are currently registered in a 200-hour RYT program. Your foundational understanding of yoga principles will allow you to maximize the benefits of Adarsh's specialized instruction.
Workshop 1: The RYT of Anatomy & Embodiment
This workshop goes beyond traditional anatomical studies, inviting yoga teachers to truly embody their understanding of the human form within the context of their Registered Yoga Teacher training. Through a blend of practical application and a focus on RYT standards, you'll delve into the intricate relationship between skeletal structure, muscular function, and energetic pathways.
Adarsh will guide you through exercises that foster a deeper kinesthetic awareness, directly applicable to your role as an RYT. You'll explore how a strong anatomical understanding informs intelligent sequencing, hands-on adjustments (within RYT guidelines), and effective cueing in your yoga classes.
